Calgary Stampede
Celebrating the Year of the Horse!
July 4th – July 13th, 2014

The RCMP Musical Ride will perform daily at the afternoon Rodeo.

The Peking Acrobats, a troupe of gifted tumblers, contortionists, and gymnasts from China, are bringing their thrilling acts of impressive physical feats to celebrate The Year of The Horse, 3 times daily in the Stampede Corral.

The Grandstand Show, Barnburner, will celebrate the heritage and stories of chuckwagon racing by inviting the audience to come home to the excitement and celebration of a distinctly western party. History meets excitement in Barnburner and for 10 days the most technological show ever created by the Calgary Stampede, right down to the biggest fireworks show the Stampede has ever blown up.

There are fifteen prominent pieces of western art at Stampede Park, many that feature the mighty horse.  This Art Walk can be enjoyed all year long and the self-guide map is available in various languages.

New on Stampede Park this year is Triple B!  It will feature the “World’s Largest BBQ”, a $5,000 burger, mechanical bull riding, and of course, beer.  If its deep fried and on a  stick  you will find it on the Stampede midway – deep fried cookie dough along with over 30 new culinary items including Scorpion pizza.

Did you know, over 50% of Stampede Park’s layout will be different this year?  This includes the new Western Event Centre, which will provide a focal point for agricultural events.  This venue opens June 21, 2014 and will play a central role in making the Calgary Stampede a year-round gathering place.
