Come celebrate Canada Day at Canada's Sports Hall of Fame. It's our 2nd birthday since opening at Canada Olympic Park, so admission is only $2! Mountie Day at Fort Calgary, May 20

You are invited to join Fort Calgary on Victoria Day to commemorate the formation of the North West Mounted Police (NWMP) by Sir John A. Macdonald in 1873. To celebrate the 140th birthday of the formation of the NWMP - who later grew and evolved into Canada's world-renowned RCMP. NATIONAL MUSIC CENTRE

The New NMC

On February 22, 2013, the National Music Centre (NMC) broke ground on its new 160,000 square-foot building in downtown Calgary’s East Village. The Centre will be home to the history of music in Canada, including the country’s most impressive collection of musical instruments and sound equipment, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame Collection. It will also include performance spaces, recording studios, broadcast facilities, the Rolling Stones’ mobile recording studio, and artist-in-residence programs – as well as Calgary’s famed King Eddy Hotel.

Open House, June 2!

Our annual Open House will happen on Sunday, June 2, 2013, from 9:30 AM to 4 PM. This event features historical re-enactments, cannon demonstrations and FREE museum admission. Battle re-enactments include gladiators, knights, Vikings, War of 1812, and WWII.

·         May 13 to July 17, 2013, Seeing Soldiering: In Theatre With Those Who Serve by Althea Thauberger is an artistic look at how the soldier’s life is perceived.
